Leon Gast

I was hammering away at my laptop at the Colony Cafe Thursday when Leon Gast came over to say hello. Leon is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker who made "When We Were Kings." He is also one of the nicest, most gentle, soft-spoken people I know, although I find that I whenever I speak with him, he has a direct point to make and he makes it firmly.

Leon had to get going Thursday, so we agreed to catch up over the weekend. Before he left, Leon asked if I had been following the Ulster County District Attorney race, which I three-way contest. I told him I had. In my opinion, it is also a three-ring circus. Leon thought it was a worthy subject for a movie.

Here. Here.
